About CARE
CARE is an established Christian social reform and campaigning charity. The acronym CARE stands for Christian Action Research and Education.
With offices in London, Brussels, Glasgow and Belfast - as well as co-operating with other organisations worldwide - CARE represents a Christian perspective in politics and in issues of public policy.
CARE also runs a number of caring initiatives which help inform its campaigning and lobbying activities.
Most noteworthy of these is a network of 160 pregnancy advice and counselling centres throughout the UK.
Other concerns include addressing the addictive impact of internet pornography, and helping teenagers to develop a positive attitude to personal relationships.
CARE is almost entirely supported by financial donations from individual Christians and from Church congregations.
